This eclipse, called a “Khagras” or total lunar eclipse, will last approximately 3.5 hours from 9:57 PM to 1:26 AM Indian Standard Time, with the peak totality from 11:00 PM to 12:22 AM.
Its influence is expected to extend for about six months, with the most intense effects lasting for one and a half months.
The eclipse occurs in the zodiac sign Aquarius (Kumbh Rashi) at 21 degrees in the Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra, opposite the Leo sign (Simha Rashi), where the Sun, Mercury, and Ketu are located.
This is the rare activation of the Leo-Aquarius axis, where Leo symbolizes power, authority, politicians, and governance, and Aquarius represents the masses, social reforms, and collective gatherings.
In India’s astrological chart, Leo is associated with the fourth house (home, land, family) and Aquarius with the tenth house (career, public life).
